Directions for form
PLEASE NOTE:
April 2021: we are currently out of squid, and awaiting the shipment of a new stock. Due to pandemic related delays, the arrival date is still to be determined. Please fill out your squid request form with your preferred dates, and we will try to meet them. We will keep you posted on the shipment and let you know when the new squid arrive! If you have already requested a squid, we have you on the list to be notified.
Request a Humboldt squid for your classroom or outreach event. Our squid are not food quality, and are for educational use only. If you will not be using the squid right away, you will need freezer space up to 3.5ft x 1ft x 1ft for storage. Take the squid out to thaw at room temperature at least 8 hours before dissection--overnight is even better.
After your activity, please fill out the short survey linked from the main Squids4Kids website. Your comments will improve our program and are much appreciated.
Shipping/ Pickup
Squid are frozen and must be shipped overnight via UPS or picked up in Monterey. Upon receipt of your application, we will contact you to arrange shipping or pickup. Recipients are responsible for shipping costs, but we can provide media resources to assist your fundraising efforts. There may be support for shipping within California; please note on your request if needed.
